Nicole Bardwell, B.A., A.A.S began studying dance at age 11 in Detroit under the direction of Rita Mosley at Fem Fatale Dance Studio. Starting as a recreational Hip Hop dancer, Nicole quickly grew in skill and began dancing competitively in all disciplines by age 14. After graduating from Renaissance High School, Nicole earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from Alabama A & M University. During her tenure there, she was a member of the Maroon Mirage Basketball Dance Team and Co-Founded Alima Dance Company. Alima Dance Company is the University’s ONLY technical training-based company in the school’s history and is currently still in operation today. Nicole has been featured in countless performances, incorporating all forms of dance including Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Ballet regionally and nationally. In addition to all of Nicole’s performing credits she has choreographed, directed and staged numerous recitals, full length dance productions and performances for local dance studios, Alabama A & M University and local artists. While a student, Nicole had the honor of bring the official choreographer for the AAMU Royal Court for their various coronation ceremonies and galas. Upon returning home, Nicole returned to Fem Fatale Dance studio as an Instructor and Assistant Director. In 2014, Nicole received the opportunity to Co-Own Staccato Dance Works and has spent each day since working to give her students the best dance training, experience and love that she can. Nicole is a true dance enthusiast and wishes to share her love of the art and learning with students everywhere. Most of all she wants every young life she touches to be improved with her love, attention, affection and caring. Nicole strives to be an inspiration to all her “babies”.
Jeremy Smith, a native of Detroit began dancing at the age of 10. He began his formal training at the age of 13 in ballet, modern and jazz at the Arts Academy in the Woods in Fraser, MI while co-training at Fem Fatale Dance Studio in Oak Park, MI under the direction of Rita Mosley. As he excelled rapidly in various styles he furthered his dance education under scholarship at Marygrove College in Detroit, MI. After becoming artistic director of Fem Fatale Dance Studio, Jeremy decided to progress his teaching career in 2014 as founder and co-owner of Staccato Dance Work. He is known for intergrating underground styles such as Vogue, J-Sette and Hip-Hop with classical techniques, his passion for dance as well as his strong choreography dynamics.
Jordyn Nesbitt has been dancing for 16 years and is a Staccato Dance Works alumna. She is an international title winner for dance and pageantry. Over her competitive career, she has attended numerous competitions and conventions all over the nation & abroad such as VIP Dance, Hall of Fame, Celebrity Dance and more. Miss Jordyn is currently a sophomore at Madonna University, with a major in Dance and a minor in Writing. Dance has always had a special place in her heart and she hopes to spread her love of the art form and Staccato Dance Works to all of her students.
Ebony Johnson is a mother and a wife who loves to have fun and be active. Her aim is to be the best healthiest version of herself. She started my health & fitness journey in March 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her main motivation was to make sure I she was taking the best care of herself, and I now wants to make sure others around her are doing the same. Ebony is a Certified FitMiss Hip Hop Instructor, licensed for CPR and in the process of obtaining her ISSA certification for Personal Training. Ebony desires to be an example that no matter what you have going on in your life, you can take time out for yourself. Ebony also has a huge love for dance, working out, roller skating, bowling anything fun! Especially activities that benefit her health. Ms. Ebony will be teaching our Hot Mamaz Fitness classes and looks forward to working with all the busy Moms!
